Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality

Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality

At Construcía Instalaciones we are aware that technology facilitates the application of our procedures and enhances the knowledge of our technicians and collaborators.

To this end, we try to keep abreast of the latest technologies applied to construction, such as virtual environments. Thanks to the application of these new methods, we are able to strengthen the group’s methodologies, allowing us to resolve conflicts early on, manage materials in advance, control storage spaces…

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that allows virtual elements to be overlay on our vision of reality, the real environment being complemented by digital elements.

Virtual Reality (VR) is an environment of scenes or objects of real appearance. An environment is generated by means of computer technology that creates in the user the sensation of being immersed in it.

The difference between the two is that augmented reality embeds digital information in the real world, while virtual reality creates digital contexts that mimic the real world. In augmented reality users can interact with virtual content in the real world and differentiate them, while in virtual reality it is all virtual.

At Construcía Instalaciones, we apply augmented reality on site to check construction processes, verify the occupation of space of the elements, control assemblies…

To do this, we use tablet and mobile applications that we share with our contractors, so that all staff can keep up to date.

We use virtual reality for immersive experiences where we show our clients and contractors how the work will be carried out to make the projects become a reality. We have virtual reality goggles and specific software that allows us to make the environments as real as possible.

Our clients can make tours of their assets and can see in advance if it meets their expectations. For our technicians, this is an environment where they can see how the installations will be built, giving them a complete tool that helps them in their decision making.

Virtual simulation also serves as a training method to explain and help understand our methodologies and procedures.
